A warty frogfish sits hunched on the seabed, bright yellow, its skin covered in countless small, even bumps and flecked with dark specks.
Photographers so often wait on the dramatic yawn that we overlook the animal itself, so I lit this one with a slight side profile to bring out the texture of its skin, until it feels less like you are watching the frogfish than being watched by it
